Form of workCapital Oral & Facial Surgery is a Specialist Maxillofacial Surgery practice located in Deakin. We have a team of dedicated professionals focused on delivering compassionate and high-quality treatment. We have a newly created position for a qualified Dental Assistant with a Certificate IV and have completed (or prepared to undertake) CBCT training. This exciting opportunity is one that requires an energetic and passionate individual with an ability to easily build rapport with our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Take and process dental x-rays as per regulatory guidelines.
- Intra-oral scanning.
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Assist during procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Reception duties.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communication.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Must have Certificate IV in Dental Assisting and completed the CBCT training or prepared to undertake.
- Current immunization clearance documents for Hepatitis B.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of variable age, cultures and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong compliance with sterilization, safety and infection control measures.
- Maintain professionalism and a ‘can do’ attitude regarding all duties of the role
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
