Una Management is seeking an admin assistant for the COO and Operations Manager, based in Brisbane. 

Position -Administrative Assistant

Employment Type - Full-Time or Part-Time (Permanent) Ideally 9am – 5pm 

Location -  Una Kids Head Office, James Street, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

Interview Date -  Thursday, 20th of June

Salary - $30.00-$34.00 p/hr – Salary based contract 

About Us - 

Una Kids is a family-based organisation that provides long day care and kindergarten services across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. With seven services currently operating and more opening in late 2024 and early 2025, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional Early Childhood Education and Care.

Role Overview - 

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our COO and Operations Manager. This is a permanent position available for one successful applicant, offering flexibility with full-time or part-time hours. The role will be based at our head office in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities - 

Schedule Management - Manage the COO's and Operations Manager's diaries, coordinate meetings, and handle calendar management effectively.

Communication -  Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communication.

Documentation - Assist in writing reports, taking minutes during meetings, and conducting research for documentation.

Task Management - Perform a wide range of administrative tasks, including problem-solving and supporting various projects.

Technology Use – Competent with MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Google Sheets, and other office management software efficiently.

ECEC Knowledge - Experience in Early Childhood Education and Care (holding a Diploma Qualification is desirable), with the use of Qik Kids software being an added advantage.

Team Culture - Work collaboratively within the team at our head office to build and maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Training and Compliance - Ensure training documentation is accurate and meets regulations, with additional training provided as needed.

Marketing and Communication - Assist with marketing efforts, advertisements, and newsletters for ongoing projects.

Payroll opportunities and training within the Easy Employer software. Experience with Easy Employer or Myob would be beneficial but not essential. 

Qualifications & Experience - 

Administration Experience -  Previous administrative experience with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Organisational Skills -  Proven ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively under pressure.

Early Education and Care Qualifications - desirable. Including knowledge of ability to demonstrate a broad understanding of Qikids/Q-Grants/Kindergarten Guidelines/Microsoft Systems

Communication Skills -  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with external clients and staff at all levels.

Technical Proficiency - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with office management software.

Team Player - Ability to work both independently and within a team, demonstrating honesty and integrity in managing confidential information.
