About the role
- Provide through independent clinical practice, specialist level knowledge, skill and experience in the assessment and management of people with complex foot disease as part of a hospital wide service
- Support clinical practice and operational supervision of the HP3, HP4 and HP5 clinicians and podiatry assistants across Podiatry Service
- Develop research opportunities and evidence-based practice for the strategic direction of the Podiatry Service.
About you
- Utilise advanced clinical skills, knowledge and independent professional judgement to manage a varied and complex caseload in foot disease & high risk foot services of Metro North Health, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Develop effective professional relationships with patients and other healthcare providers in the multi-disciplinary team to influence clinical outcomes, through advanced communication skills
- Provide timely expert clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers, members of the multi-disciplinary team and other stakeholders
- Apply advanced knowledge and skill to provide advice and communicate, in both verbal and written formats, with colleagues and clinical partners regarding the clinical care of patients
- Support, motivate and challenge colleagues working in demanding clinical areas
- Role model self-care by demonstrating care of your own health, safety and well-being and take reasonable care to ensure that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health, safety and well-being of others
