Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Service are looking for an Advanced Psychologist to join their team. The Bayside Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is a dynamic and innovative team that provides specialised mental health care to children and young people under the age of 18 who experience severe and complex mental health difficulties, and where their needs cannot be met by other services. The position delivers advanced Psychological services to stakeholders/consumers within Bayside CYMHS to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide specialised clinical and consultancy services within Bayside Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). The position delivers advanced Psychological services to stakeholders/consumers within Bayside CYMHS to achieve excellence in patient care, education and research.
This includes:
- Demonstrating advanced clinical skills in the area of Psychology.
- Providing service wide psychological clinical and professional advice on specialised clinical areas and service delivery models in the area of severe and complex mental health issues in a Child and Youth Mental Health setting. Including taking a lead role in skill development of less experienced staff.
- Delivering specialised psychological clinical and consultancy services to consumers with severe and complex mental health issues in a CYMHS setting) in accordance with accepted professional practices, legal and ethical requirements with a high degree of independence.
- Providing clinical advice and direction to a team of child and youth mental health clinicians to ensure effective service delivery and quality outcomes applying change management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills where necessary.
- Providing high quality clinical supervision to Mental Health Clinicians and allied health assistants to support effective and efficient service delivery of Child and Youth Mental Health Services.
