Tell me more...As the Advanced Sonographer/Radiographer Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) Clinician, you will be a part of a multidisciplinary team, servicing the Medical Imaging needs of the Torres and Cape Hopital and Health Service (TCHHS). This role involves providing, leadership across the HHS and mentorship to subordinate staff.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Management: Experience demonstrated in managing small teams within a broader multidisciplinary context.
- Clinical expertise: Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, expertise and skills in radiography and sonography as a rural specialist. Demonstrated ability to apply evidence based practice and principles to facilitate multidisciplinary clinical decisions. Demonstrated clinical acumen, accuracy and independence in the delivery of Medical Imaging. Shown expereince in teaching/ mentorship of junior clinicians.
- Communication: Demonstrated ability to provide clinical advice regarding professional standards and clinical service development. Demonstrated ability to work within an multidisciplinary team and rural and remote environment.

Requirements for the role:
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- This position will require the incumbent to operate a government vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required (Queensland 'C' class licence). Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
- This position will require travel across the Torres Strait and Cape York area via, light and commercial aircraft and helicopters as well as long distance vehicle travel using unsealed roads.
