This role is a salary Grade 7/8 with the base salary for this role starting at $106,025 - $117,363 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

About the Role

Are you enthusiastic about fostering high-level engagement and coordination within the public sector? Are you prepared to play a role in shaping policies that propel the progress of infrastructure development in New South Wales? We're on the lookout for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join us as an Advisor, Cabinet and Committees at Infrastructure NSW (INSW).

In this role, you'll be instrumental in steering INSW's proactive engagement with the NSW Cabinet system. Your duties will encompass supporting the coordination of INSW's Cabinet and Committee forward program and actively participating in the broader Cabinet system. Additionally, you'll provide vital secretariat support for specified committees, including the INSW Board, Audit and Risk Committee and the Executive Infrastructure Group. Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:

  • Supporting the Associate Director, Cabinet and Committees to coordinate INSW's proactive engagement with the Cabinet system, including the coordination of INSW's Cabinet and Committee forward program, INSW advice on other agencies' Cabinet Submissions, and other involvement with the Cabinet system.
  • Supporting INSW's engagement with the Cabinet process and with the preparation of Cabinet proposals and submissions in accordance with established processes and practice, and within specified timeframes.
  • Performing Secretariat functions for specified committees across INSW which support the achievement of organisational objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and communications with key internal and external stakeholders.

About You

The ideal candidate possesses proven experience in administrative roles, delivering invaluable support to senior committees and stakeholders while upholding the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality. With a comprehensive understanding of government sector operations and familiarity with Cabinet processes, combined with exceptional communication skills, you excel in facilitating seamless engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, your strong organisational and coordination skills guarantee streamlined operations, and you bring advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products.

The ideal candidate comes with a proven track record in administrative roles.
