- Provide specialised Injury Management services for physical and psychological cases, utilising a biopsychosocial approach and in accordance with Queensland Corrective Service policies, procedures, industrial instruments and relevant legislation including the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.
- Apply knowledge and provide professional advice to stakeholders with a focus on best practice, client-centred occupational Injury Management services.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to coordinate rehabilitation services, including the development and review of rehabilitation programs, suitable duties programs, fitness for duty assessments and other relevant processes, facilitating an optimal return to work for ill/injured members.
- Work collaboratively with members of HSW, centre management and other stakeholders to support a robust safety culture and promote the benefits of recovery at work.
- Advise and educate QCS staff to understand their obligations and align expectations within the context of Rehabilitation and Return to Work programs.
- Maintain accurate, contemporary records relating to case management, ensuring the principles of confidentiality are adhered to.
- Prepare official Injury Management documentation for stakeholders including QCS staff, managers and executives.
- Assist with the entry and analysis of HSW data to identify trends, prioritise areas of effort and support continuous improvement of the safety management system.
