It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.The roleWe are currently seeking and experienced Training Advisor to join our Tanami team. Reporting to the Training Superintendent, the Training Advisor will provide learning and development services, including the provision of competency based training and assessment packages.In this role, you willConduct training and assessments including but not limited to: site specific Training courses; Safety Awareness programs; VOCs; and InductionsTraining package development/ reviewRoutinely generating and analysing training reports to identify training needs and improvementsCoordinate pre-start and toolbox meetingsEnsure all training paperwork and records entered correctlyMentor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Crew Trainers to assist with training activitiesIdentifying areas of improvements within the training management systemThe personCurrent TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards this qualification)Experience in the Mining/Heavy Engineering industries would be an advantageCurrent Australian driver's licenseAbility to work both as a team member as well as independentlyStrong communication skills and ability to interact clearly and confidently with key stakeholdersStrong computer skills (experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) and ability to work with progressive technologyAuditing experience (desirable)Working conditionsThis is a permanent role based in Tanami and offers a FIFO roster from Perth, Brisbane, Darwin and Alice Springs.We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
