Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Aerodrome section of Council's Infrastructure team.
- Permanent Full-Time – 38 hours per week
- Location - Moree
- Attractive hourly rate ranging from $27.68 up to $31.76 per hour (PLUS Superannuation) depending on qualifications and experience
- Weekend penalty rates apply.
- 5 weeks annual leave
The Aerodrome Reporting Officer will be required to undertake the duties required to sustain the Moree Regional Airport to ensure it maintains its aerodrome certification, aerodrome serviceability, safety, construction & maintenance standards and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and the Aerodrome Manual.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
ABOUT YOUCouncil is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Certificate III in Aviation (Ground Operations) (Applicants, who do not hold the Certificate may be considered in some instances, however, must commit to commencing the qualification during Council's 3-month probationary period).
- Ability to contribute to a cohesive team environment, maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders service and ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to solve problems using own initiative and prioritise work according to budgets, deadlines and available resources.
- Demonstrated literacy, numeracy and computer skills with the ability to keep accurate records and prepare progress reports and correspondence.
- Certified to use airband radio.
- Basic computer skills including the ability to operate a computer tablet for inspections.
Tickets and Licences:
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Airport Reporting Officer & Works Safety Officer Certificate.
- Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- White Card
