Your new role
The role of Senior Analyst, OTC Trade Reporting, Treasury Middle Office sits within the Investment Operations & Reporting function.
Primary focus of the role:
- Run the daily OTC Trade reporting to ASIC and provide oversight of the CPS 226 APRA rules. This will include responsibility for the reconciliation of collateral, valuations, primary economic terms and regulatory reporting reconciliations, using multiple industry platforms;
- In addition, as part of the extended team, support the management and monitoring of the Fund's cash, securities lending, and collateral & margining commitments, such as:
- Oversight of the daily Stock borrow lending activities;
- Management of the Initial Margin collateral for uncleared OTC derivatives;
- Management of margin call disputes and escalation to credit when required.
- Jointly support, the successful delivery of the complete suite of Investment Operations Services into the Investment teams.
Principal Duties will include:
- Onboarding a new Trade reporting platform into AustralianSuper - (KOR Financial);
- Operationalising reconciliations and training team members;
- Investigating root cause and actioning exceptions as per the relevant escalation procedures as required;
- Regular UAT testing of new reconciliations & improvements, with strong engagement of stakeholders to ensure any issues are actioned;
- Assisting with the regulatory compliance reporting associated with the ASIC Rules;
- Overseeing daily APRA 226 reconciliations;
- Monitoring cash forecasts on unlisted assets and instructing, or oversight of, associated cash transactions;
- Monitoring daily disputes and escalating accordingly, ensuring disputes are resolved with no long-term impacts;
- Initiating and driving efficiency initiatives within the Treasury Operations team and broader Investment business.
Other broad responsibilities include:
- Managing the Trade Life Cycle within Calypso to support the booking, confirmation, settlement and reconciliation of products associated with our internal Treasury portfolios - Fixed Income, Money Markets, Repo, Term Deposits.
- Ensuring all cash, collateral and securities lending processes reduce operational risk and are well-documented, current and capable of audit scrutiny, including appropriate incident management.
- Supporting the operational management of securities lending oversight program to ensure efficient, effective, compliant, and segregated operational support is provided to the Balance Sheet Management team.
What you'll need
- Experience in Treasury Operations within a banking or financial institution environment
- Relevant experience in Markets Operations or Middle office, specifically in reconciliation and trade lifecycle management
- Relevant experience in FX, Credit, IRS, commodities, or equities required
- Collateral management experience across exchange-traded futures, cleared and non-cleared over-the-counter derivatives and securities lending and treasury operations
- Experience in Trade product and data integration systems
- Meticulous attention to detail and pride in performance
- Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated problem-solving skills and a high level of curiosity
- Experience in documentation of business processes and converting business requirements into technical requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- A pro-active and positive attitude to take on tasks and develop subject matter expertise
- An inner drive and energy to help the team deliver excellent outcomes
- An approachable manner and an enthusiasm to learn
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance or Treasury disciplines.
