Nauru Airlines is the national carrier of the Republic of Nauru, operating passenger and freight services to and from the Central Pacific. Reporting to the Reliability and Technical Services Manager (R&TSM), we are seeking an experienced Aeronautical Engineer to join the Part 42. The Aeronautical Engineer assists the R&TSM in ensuring the aircraft airworthiness and maintenance control for the Nauru Airlines Fleet is conducted safely, compliantly and efficiently.
This role is based at Brisbane Airport working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
On a day-to-day basis your duties will include:
- Day-to-day management of the Nauru Airlines Reliability Program and policy
- Determination of the adequacy of data collection, data sources and record
- Collection of reliability data for the creation of the quarterly reports and engineering analysis
- Preparation and distribution of quarterly reports
- Conduct investigations to verify adverse trends and alerts
- Initiate and manage Reliability Investigations and monitor the progress of any corrective action
- Evaluation of the reliability program for improvements
- Investigation of Irregularity Reports and major defects
- Evaluation of Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and other Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA’s) for Compliance and Incorporation including updating Technical Data and CMMS instructions
Essential Criteria:
- An aviation background with experience in Reliability Program Management
- Currently hold or have held a B2, or C License or equivalent or engineering qualification in aeronautical, avionics, electrical or electronics
- Comprehensive knowledge of CASR and airworthiness standards applicable to the aircraft (or similar Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 25 Type) operated by the AOC
- Comprehensive knowledge of CASR Part 145 and CASR Part 42G Continuing Airworthiness Management.
- Knowledge of the aircraft’s certification basis
- Understanding of Aircraft Configuration Management
- Knowledge and understanding of Safety Management Systems and Human Factors in the aviation environment
- Knowledge of Quality and Risk Management principles and practices
- Well-developed oral and written communication/negotiation skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in technical procedural and working instruction writing
- TAE training certification and training experience
Salary: 110,000k - 120,000k
