Affordable Housing Manager

Temporary Housing Manager available on Sydney's Lower North Shore or North Western suburbs. You will have previous experience in tenancy management real estate, or government housing and hold a real estate license.

As Housing Manager, you will be the main point of contact for tenants in your portfolio. You will deliver excellent customer service with a team of dedicated colleagues, focused on improving lives through the delivery of quality housing services.

You will work in partnership with service providers and provide proactive tenancy management to sustain tenancies and improve communities with a strong customer focus.

What is involved?

• Delivering consistent and quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders in the leasehold team
• Managing, responding to, and resolving tenant queries and concerns
• Managing tenant complaints and appeals for effective resolution  
• Managing tribunal representation (NCAT)
• Conducting regular property inspections 
• Referral of tenants to relevant support providers
• Managing individual financial targets, including maximising rent income, as well as reducing rental arrears, tenant debt, voids and vacancies, bonds and recharges

What do I need to have?

• Real estate license
• Previous property management/tenancy management experience 
• Experience in driving a customer service culture, particularly in managing complex clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, whilst remaining client-focused
• Strong IT skills
• Experience and understanding of the support service sector, and demonstrated relationship-building skills
• Current NSW Driving Licence 
• At least two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations

Salary and Classification:

This role is classified as a Level 4 within the Social Community, Home Care, and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.  The casual hourly rate for this role would be $50 p/h + super.
