The Location
Glasshouse Views, a multi-award winning 99 bed residential aged care facility, located in in the heart of the Caloundra coastal hinterland.
The Job
The Aged Care Support Assistant facilitates support for residents’ physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs and enables residents to maintain their own wellbeing and independence for as long as possible. The role also supports maintaining a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment, both in resident rooms and the wider home. All duties are undertaken under the direction of allocated experienced aged care workers.
The Aged Care Support Assistant can also assist with meals, some recreational activities, non-intimate hygiene, housekeeping and front of office duties, as well as minimising risk of resident isolation.
You bring: a real commitment to working in aged care, strong literacy and numeracy skills, fabulous communication and team work skills, basic computer skills and a passion for making a difference.
