Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in SouthAustralia and New South Wales. They are currently on the lookoutfor multiple experienced Small Engine Mechanics to join theirsuccessful team in South Australia. The role will include assistingthe workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles andmachinery.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Small Engine Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosticand repair work on small motorised engines
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Small Engine Mechanics is responsible for service,maintenance and repair work on small motorised engines (such aschainsaws, small mobile plant, motorised irrigation machineryetc)
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing andrepair requirements are met in accordance with maintenanceschedules
- Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical andelectrical failures on engines, and machinery.
- Fault diagnostics and testing parts
- Performing repairs and replacing defective worn or parts
- Dismantling and removing engine mechanisms and othercomponents, and checking parts
- Reassembling engines and parts after repair
Qualifications required:
- Experience within a similar role
- Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate III or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of fulltime experience
- Have a good eye for detail
- Must have intermediate or above computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to comply with all OHS policies andprocedures.
- Be motivated and able to achieve targets
An attractive remuneration will be based uponapplicant's experience.
This is offered at basic salary of between $ 55,000 - $70,000 p.a + Superannuation
