About the Company
Our client is a successful independent supplier of agronomic advice and farm production inputs operating from 14 locations across the Western District, North East, Wimmera and SE South Australia (SESA) regions.
Responsibilities
- The provision of highly professional and comprehensive farm production advice to clients to advance their farming businesses.
- The provision of agronomic services such as soil and plant testing, research into technical issues, assistance with trial work and the preparation of newsletter articles.
- The introduction and securing of new clients to our client.
- Advice on crop and pasture agronomy, fertility and pest and disease control.
- The planning of crop and pasture rotations and the provision of enterprise profitability information as required.
- The inspection and monitoring of client’s paddocks during the growing season.
- Establish priorities for client service activities to ensure the best use of time and resources under the prevailing seasonal conditions.
- Undertake training on new technology and industry developments and attend field days and seminars to continually update skills.
- Work closely with clients to integrate new technology into their farming systems.
- Present information at client meetings and field days.
- Maintain a close relationship with key clients of our client to secure the supply of their farm inputs or ensure the charging of professional fees to support agronomic service activity.
- Be available to provide input into the strategic direction of our client and assist in the general development and growth of the business.
