We are currently searching for a motivated and enthusiastic Agronomist to join the farming team.
About the role:
This full-time, in-house position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our experienced agronomy team to support and enhance our chilli and avocado production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of crop management programs
- Monitor crop health and provide assistance and consultation for pest and disease management
- Conduct soil sampling and analysis to optimize nutrient management
- Support the development and implementation of sustainable farming practices
- Collect and analyse data to improve crop yields and quality
- Liaise with farm staff to ensure best practices in crop production
- Maintain detailed records of crop performance and management activities
Work experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualifications in Agronomy, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of crop management and sustainable farming practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license
