Form of work The Opportunity -
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
BDA is looking for a Publications Specialist who will join the AH-64 Apache team. In this role you will helping progressing the operator and maintenance technical manuals in support of the Apache program.
This role is based at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, Brisbane.
As a Publications Specialist within BDA, you will
* Be an integral part of the Apache capability.
* Supporting the development and ongoing management of all digital publications pertaining to the Apache capability.
* Collecting, researching and analysing source data.
* Maintaining interfaces with all internal and external digital publication sponsors.
* Identifying source data inaccuracies and taking corrective action.
* Supporting the maintenance of consolidated change request registers.
* Conducting peer reviews of completed digital publication elements.
* Participating in and conducting digital publication reviews.
* Supporting the authoring of digital publications and digital publication updates.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* 6 years + relevant experience in digital publications role.
* Expert knowledge on digital publication management tools.
* Superior communication skills.
* Experience operating within the aerospace or a highly technical industry sector.
* Experience using Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) illustration software applications such as CorelDraw for technical graphic creation.
* Aircraft experience desirable.
* XML or SGML experience desirable
