About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as School Buy-In Lead Psychologist. This is a statewide position that offers a unique opportunity to provide leadership, strategic direction, and contribute to the clinical governance framework for school-based allied health services. This position supports a team of psychologists and social workers.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality expertise and advice for the design, implementation, and evaluation of school-based allied health services.
  • Offer system-level leadership and strategic guidance on the clinical governance framework for school buy-in services.
  • Proactively improve work practices by monitoring service outcomes, identifying trends, and addressing community needs.
  • Lead research, service development, and innovation, providing recommendations for management decision-making.
  • Supervise and support school buy-in allied health staff to meet organizational objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality, evidence-informed, and accountable allied health service in line with identified priorities.
  • Facilitate comprehensive professional induction, support, and supervision for school buy-in allied health staff.
  • Drive service improvement, including the development, implementation, and review of professional practice standards and service models.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support schools in delivering impactful services.
  • Seek client feedback, respond to complaints, and contribute to investigations as required.
Qualifications:
Essential: Current and full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.
Desirable: Area of practice endorsement – educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology.
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
AHP4: $112,625 - $122,610 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
