AIN - Work Area – Acute, Aged Care
The Key Responsibilities of the role are-
- Provide care in a safe and compassionate way to the residents
- Ensure clinical care needs are managed and communicated in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with PPE and workplace health and safety protocol is followed
Selection Criteria
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Holds a Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification in medicines administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders
- Supports working in a person centred environment
- Current professional practice knowledge base
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
- Knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Enrolled Nurse in applying these principles.
- Previous recent experience in the peri operative setting
- Up-to-date immunisation records (MUST have had at least first dose of COVID vaccine
- Current police check
