The role involves processing inbound shipments with precision and efficiency, ensuring top-notch customer service aligned with best practices. Collaboration with Warehouse and Transport Teams is key for prompt import delivery turnaround. The position entails hands-on tasks including email management and data entry. Flexibility for a 7-day working roster, including weekends and public holidays, is required. The ideal candidate will embody professionalism, positivity, and contribute to a proactive team culture.Your main accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with airlines to obtain flight information and freight availability.
- Invoicing and costing all import jobs within 24 hours of arrival.
- Automating cargo consolidation processes.
- Ensuring timely check-in of all freight received from the warehouse and completing check-ins by the end of each day.
- Maintaining accuracy in invoicing and costing, striving to meet KPIs.
- Continuously improving processes to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Keeping regulatory qualifications up-to-date and relevant to the role.
- Participating in company-provided training courses to enhance professional and industry knowledge.
- Follow and adhere to all Security, Customs and Quarantine criteria.
- Handling customer complaints promptly and effectively to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Practising effective communication with employees, managers, and customers.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Clear understanding of pallet sizes, weight restrictions and knowledge of weight balancing to anticipate daily volumes from pre-alerts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues to address any queries or concerns.
- Demonstrated ability to understand employees' concerns and provide alternative solutions.
- Display a high level of customer service and maturity when dealing with customers, peers and managers.
- Possess high integrity, reliability, and a collaborative approach as a team player.
- Attractive Salary of up to $85,000 + Super.
