Import/Export Operations

Well established Freight Forwarder located in Banksmeadow is seeking an experienced Import/Export Operations Coordinator to join the team. You will be organising and overseeing product shipments domestically and internationally.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Booking shipments with airlines or sea vessels
• Liaising with transport department to monitor and ensure timely deliveries
• Registration and handling of documentation for air Import/Export shipments
• Dealing with customers and keeping them updated with progress
• Update and utilise CargoWise on a daily basis
• Raising invoices
• Checking and approving cost
• On receipt of documentation liaise with Clearing Agents, Distributors, warehousing staff and Purchasing Department
• Raising any claims in relation to damaged or faulty imported goods
• Advising Accounts department of all financial transactions relating to the importation of goods on a monthly and ad hoc basis
• Liaise with shipping agent on vessel availability and arrange loading. Negotiate freight rates. Advise customer, confirmation of order, loading and vessel details
• Maintains Process Manuals for Import/Export department
• Plan and implement Import/Export strategy and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of PCFS Logistics
• Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure the Import/Export team maintain the same level
• Liaise with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant Import/Export activities and support in relation to PCFS sales and overall operating functions

• Knowledge in the processes of Imports/Exports
