The opportunity
We are seeking experienced aviation maintenance (145 MRO) professionals to support a world class fixed wing strike fighter as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics. The role is based RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland and supports diverse teams on exciting and rewarding programs.
Responsibilities:
- Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of trade level activities, requiring the application of post trade qualifications and / or experience in the relevant trade category in accordance with approved processes and procedures
- Ensuring compliance to 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Support the MRO Team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve successful production of serviceable aircraft
- Provide direction and instructions to assist in the development of subordinate technicians
- Reporting to the assigned Maintenance Operations Manager
- Liaising with Boeing, Commonwealth and other Industry teams involved in maintenance operations at Amberley
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Experience/Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
- Hold a DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML) or the ability to obtain
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen
- Possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain
Desirable
- Previous experience on F/A-18 E/F or EA-18G as a maintenance certifier / trade supervisor
- Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
- Prior supervisory or leadership training
- Have a working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems including the Defence Protected Network, CAMM2 and AME
- Hold a C class driver's licence
