Kogan People Solutions, recruiters across Australia, are working with a leading supplier of aircraft engineering services who are presently now seeking a skilled qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join them at Perth Airport. The role is secure, full time, and ongoing.
Location - Perth WA
Salary - you will be rewarded with a salary negotiable in the range $140-$160k plus superannuation and the opportunity to work with an industry leader poised for greater success.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Remove and install engine powerplant and APU (auxiliary power unit) and other components such as integrated drive generator (IDG), fuel control unit (FCU ) and engine starter motor.
- Remove, reweight and install engine fire extinguisher bottles and perform functional check including electrical wiring check.
- Inspection, servicing and lubrication of main and nose landing gear.
- Remove and replace main landing gear wheels and brake assembly.
- Removal and installation of fuel tank pipelines, fittings, wiring and probes.
- Replace oxygen pressure regulator, servicing of oxygen bottle and perform leak check on oxygen system.
- Inspection and servicing of nitrogen on nose landing gear and main landing gear shock absorbers.
- Lubrication of flight controls such as flaps, elevator, aileron and rudder.
- Perform sealant repair inside centre fuel tank.
- Perform daily, weekly and line checks/inspection such as servicing of engine oil, integrated drive generator oil, hydraulic fluid, nose and main wheel.
- Removal of engine bolts and performing DVI (Detailed Visual Inspection) of the yolk/pylon inspection.
- Remove and installation of wing spar bolts for non-destructive testing.
- Remove and install forward bulkhead and other electrical components such as passenger address, inflight entertainment and perform functional test of passenger address/intercom.
- Performing GVIs (General Visual Inspection) and DVIs (Detailed Visual Inspection) as required by the task cards for the Airframe, Engine, and Mechanical systems.
- Accurate recording of maintenance carried out including details of the parts / material consumed,
- Calibrated tooling and any fits and clearances as part of the work pack completion.
- Carrying out FITCOM (Fabricated in The Course of Maintenance) jobs to support modifications.
- Other duties as required.
- A certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) or agreed alternative.
- At least 2 to 3 years professional experience in a similar role, within a workshop or hangar environment, or similar.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work within a fast paced and strong team environment.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia; and
- All required CASA clearances (or ability to obtain them)
