Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Aircraft Engineering Solutions is a leading provider of aviation labour to various MRO's (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) across Australia. With operations in 5 states and multiple customers, we prioritise local employment and aim to provide quality service to our clients. We are seeking an AME Mechanical (B1.3) stream who has completed type courses on at least two types of aircraft listed S76, AW139 or S92A so that we can assist in getting you the time on type to gain your CASA B1.3 licence.
This is a fulltime position that involves work at various facilities Australia wide both Military and Civilian at short notice. This is not a FIFO role and there could be extended stays depending on workload. At this time, we are only considering applicants who are currently living in Australia and who have Australia working rights. Must be able to relocate if required.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough inspections of aircraft components to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction, and conducting necessary repairs of components to address identified issues or defects.
- Following detailed inspection procedures outlined in maintenance manuals and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Performing comprehensive testing procedures on aircraft systems and components to verify functionality and performance.
- Using specialised tools, equipment, and materials to perform repairs and replacements and component adjustments.
- Following manufacturer guidelines, technical manuals, and industry best practices to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinating with other maintenance personnel to ensure proper integration of components and systems into the aircraft structure.
- Conducting functional tests and inspections after installation to validate proper operation and safety compliance.
- Documenting all inspection, testing, repair, and installation activities in maintenance records and aircraft logbooks for traceability, regulatory compliance, and future maintenance activities.
- Collaborating with engineering and technical support teams to resolve challenging issues and optimize aircraft performance and reliability.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent (B1 Mechanical)
- Minimum 4 years experience on S76, AW139 and S92 aircraft.
- Have completed all examination prerequisites and can apply for B1 license
- Must have Australian work rights and currently be living in Australia
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a professionally diverse team, but also have the ability to work unsupervised
- High level of attention to detail
Salary commensurate with Award rates between $70,000 and $75,000
