Flight Training Adelaide Queensland (FTAQ) specialises in ab-initio pilot training for the airline industry. FTA has a long term contract to provide pilot training for the QANTAS pilot training academy. We have a modern and well-equipped hangar based at Wellcamp Airport, just outside the rural city of Toowoomba in South Queensland.
The current fleet comprises of Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft.
Our in-house Engineering department maintains our large fleet of small aircraft.
We are looking for a Full Time Aviation Maintenance Stores Controller to join our busy Engineering team.
Reliability, good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise calmly is essential for success in this role.

The chosen candidate will:
Be responsible for Aircraft maintenance spare parts and subcontract control by:
- Process and maintain related documentation
- Control and administration of the store
- Be responsible for consumable stock control
- Be a competent computer user
- Holding a Forklift Operators License
- Holding a Dangerous Goods Handling Authority
- Be able to lift up to 15 kgs regularly
- Be Willing team player
- Maintain close relationships with the Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer and the Maintenance Planner
- Need to be able to hold and retain an ASIC card
- Aircraft Data Entry
- Minor Fuel Farm Checks and Maintenance
- Minor Hangar Equipment Maintenance
It is a requirement of the role and our recruitment process that you are able to provide the below if successful:

- Recent Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Test Result

Location
There is no scheduled bus/train service to the FTAQ campus and only a limited bus service that stops at Wellcamp Airport. The location of FTAQ campus from Wellcamp Airport is 3.7 km if walking.
