Are you ready to take on an exciting role in aviation? Swissport is thrilled to announce an opening for Aircraft Pushback and Tow Operators, a pivotal position within our airport operations team. As an Aircraft Pushback and Tow Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient ground movement of aircraft, encompassing start-up procedures, and executing pushback and towing operations while upholding the highest safety operating standards.

Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe pushback and towing of various aircraft models, including but not limited to B737, A320, A330, B787, A350, and A380.
- Maintain effective communication and monitor ATC/Ground Control radio transmissions throughout all Aircraft Pushback and towing operations.
- Adhere strictly to the Company's pushback and towing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee operational safety.
- Perform regular serviceability inspections on tow tractors and tow bars to verify equipment safety and suitability for use.
- Promptly report any identified hazards, incidents, or abnormal conditions pertaining to aircraft and associated equipment under your supervision.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pushback and towing operations, including possession of or recent holding of a Melbourne Airport Category 3 Airside Driver's Licence within the last 18 months.
- Possession or prior possession of an Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC).
- Possession of a valid state driver's licence.
- Proficiency in English language communication.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and ability to successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol test.
- Commitment to providing exceptional and safe service.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-confidence and ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in computer skills.
