Job title: Product Specifications Engineer Reporting to: Business Development Manager- PolyCom brands
Purpose of the position: Are you a motivated, confident Civil Engineer who isn't afraid to drive change? Are you interested in delivering alternatives to traditional practices in the industry? Are you ready to step out from behind your desk? If your answers are YES and you have at least two years' field experience in pavement, construction, and/or design, then please apply.
This role requires you to immerse yourself in our brand and supervise product application on-site, as well as develop education programs targeted at engineers, clients, and students. You will be responsible for defining and developing detailed technical specifications for products used in road engineering and dust suppression projects. Your expertise will ensure that products meet the required standards, functionality, and performance criteria.
As a successful candidate, it is essential that you hold residency in South Australia. The role requires both interstate and possible international travel.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Civil Engineering (including but not limited to):
Training & Education: Educating engineers, clients and students on product applications and benefits.
Training & Support: Provide training and support to clients on the proper use and maintenance of road stabilisation and dust suppression products. Conduct demonstrations and workshops to showcase product effectiveness and value.
Client Consultation: Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and challenges related to road stabilisation. Recommend appropriate solutions and provide expert advice to address client requirements effectively. Product application site supervision.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and presentations to prospective clients. Collaborate with internal technical teams to customize solutions based on client specifications.
Contract administration in estimating costs.
Relationship Management: Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and support. Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for all road stabilisation and dust suppression-related inquiries.
Communicate technical requirements and specifications effectively to suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding product selection, compatibility, and integration issues.
Market Research:
Stay informed about market dynamics, customer preferences, and regulatory requirements related to road stabilisation.
Use market insights to identify opportunities for product development and business expansion.
Participate in product development initiatives and supplier/vendor evaluations to enhance product offerings and capabilities.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of products to ensure compliance with established specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform after care testing and analysis to verify product performance, durability, and safety.
Identify and resolve discrepancies or deviations from specifications through collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
Compiling project documentation and reports.

- Civil Engineer Graduate as a minimum
- You must have experience in Civil / Pavement Engineering with specific knowledge and working experience in Pavement and Soil Mechanics.

- Ability to develop & maintain systems and procedures to each project.
