Opportunity
We seek an experienced and detail-oriented Aircraft Technical Records Officer to join our team.The successful candidate will assist with all Aircraft Technical Records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support operational efficiency. This position demands a thorough understanding of aviation maintenance documentation, supporting our engineering team on various turboprop and reciprocating multi-engine aircraft.
Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Technical Records Officer at GAM, you will have direct reports to the Responsible Manager and Technical Records Manager and be responsible for the following.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Technical Records for all aircraft in the GAM Air fleet and customer aircraft, including maintenance logs, work orders, component history, and airworthiness certificates.
- Ensure all Technical Records comply with applicable aviation regulations and company policies, including those set by CASA and other relevant authorities.
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits and inspections, providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries as required.
- Promotion of internal quality and safety management systems. Working closely with our maintenance, logistics, safety, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless communication and documentation flow.
- Accurate input and validation of maintenance data into our maintenance management database AeroTrack
- Generate reports on aircraft status, maintenance activities, and compliance for management and regulatory purposes.
- Co-ordination with various CAMO/ Operators regarding aircraft maintenance activities, including compliance with various SLAs
- Organise and archive records in a systematic and easily accessible manner.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in Aircraft Technical Records or a similar role within the aviation industry
- Proactive and positive attitude, holding safety as a core value.
- Broad understanding of CASA airworthiness requirements.
- Previous aircraft management software experience, Aerotrack, or similar.
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Desirable)
- CASR Part 66 B1 and/or B2 licence (Desirable)
- Must obtain and maintain an Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative to solve problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and commitment to complying with company policies and procedures.
