The opportunity

As the Aircrew Publications Coordinator your role is pivotal to maintaining the Airworthiness and Capability of the P-8A Poseidon weapon system. Working within an integrated engineering team you will interact with other technical writers, engineering staff and P-8A Platform Operators (Aircrew).  Additionally, the Coordinator supports the P-8A Publications sponsor in the amendment and data change functions associated with the P-8A Weapon System publications and the configuration control of the P-8A publications master library. Tasks may include;

  • Interpret, understand and assess US Navy derived data and how it interfaces with RAAF processes
  • Timely delivery of Aircrew publications to the end user and providing redundancy to the maintenance publication team if required.
  • Responsible for the integrity and currency Of Operational Procedures and Instructions in support of 92WG and the P-8A platform
  • Proactively seek out necessary information to complete tasks, collect, research and analyse source data to identify inaccuracies and take corrective action.

About you

Key to succeeding in this role and delivering publication management services will be the strong relationships across organisational levels and multiple P-8A stakeholder groups. You will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role:

  • Experience in an Aircraft Operational environment (preferably Military) and exposure to an Aviation Maintenance organisation.
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks (MAO / DASR for example)
  • Able to develop or review Technical / operational information for inclusion in authorised operational procedures
  • Exposure to the Defence Technical Regulatory framework
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
