The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a manager for its airport to plan, direct and coordinate the operations of airport facilities in accordance with government and commission laws, rules, regulations and policies.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Manage the overall operational control of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Airport;
2. Develop, evaluate, institute, review and maintain appropriate and effective airport emergency and security plans in accordance with the Air Navigation Act and the Civil Aviation Regulations;
3. Conduct surveys and periodic inspections of the Obstacle Limitation Surfaces surrounding the airport and identify structures which have become or are likely to become hazardous and take remedial action,
4. Conduct aerodrome technical inspections in accordance with the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations Part 139 Manual of Standards and carry out regular checks of airport ground staff inspection and reporting methodologies;
5. Manage staff with a predominant focus on safety, compliance and performance;
6. Prepare and manage budgets;
7. Report aircraft and passenger movement statistical data;
8. Manage the efficient security screening of passengers and baggage.
9. Develop the Airport Master Plan and future planning for the Airport Terminal upgrade.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant appropriate tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in aviation administration at a major regional or city airport;
2. Radiotelephony Licence;
3. Be the holder or eligible to hold an Australia-wide AusCheck Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC);
4. Current Senior First Aid Certificate;
5. Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer Certificate;
6. Current satisfactory National Police Clearance;
7. Current WA "C" Class drivers licence.
Total Package
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Salary rangers between $157,115 - $160,666
