Job Outline & Accountabilities
As Airport Services Manager for Emirates Adelaide Airport operation you will manage and ensure a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely airport operation to ensure Emirates’ image, reputation and passenger service levels are maintained and enhanced to the highest standards. As a key member of the Australia and New Zealand Airport management team, this position will also see you focused on:
- Achieving the ground handling performance targets in the areas of flight punctuality, check-in standards and baggage delivery times
- Ensuring appropriate action is taken for providing prompt service to Emirates passengers to maintain, and where required, to restore the goodwill and confidence of passengers facing various adverse situations i.e. flight disruptions, denied boarding, etc.
- Ensuring measures are implemented to protect the safety and security of the whole operation as well as compliance with instructions issued by regulatory bodies and airport authorities
- Ensuring that Service Level Agreements, OTPs and KPI’s are achieved through regular auditing and monitoring
- Lead, guide and develop the Adelaide Airport team to maintain high levels of morale and performance to the Emirates standard.
- Implementing and reviewing strategies to ensure procedures and standards are adhered to
- Preparing and constantly reviewing local procedures on Diversion/Delay Handling/Disruptions and Emergency Procedures for the reference of both EK staff and those of the Handling Agent.
- Accountable for annual budgeting of revenue, expenses and capital expenditure.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this opportunity, the key requirements are:
- Educated to a degree level
- Extensive experience and background in the airline industry, with proven experience in handling a busy airport operation.
- Qualified to an advanced level in Passenger Services, Ground Operations, Baggage Services, and Reservations & Ticketing.
- Strong awareness of systems, in particular DCS, Reservations/Ticketing and Baggage Tracing/ Reconciliation, you will also be conversant with Flight Planning and Cargo Operations.
- Must be able to work under pressure in an environment which requires a very high degree of initiative.
