The Role
Programmed are currently seeking a Machinist to join our team at Alcoa Pinjarra.
Successful applicants will have previous mine site or refinery experience, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety.
Skills and Experience
Australian Trade Certificate
High Risk Licence - Dogging & Rigging (required)
Use of Overhead Gantry cranes, Pillar, or Jib Cranes
Overhauling/refurbishing valves, pumps, gearboxes, machining and fabrication.
Use of Laser Alignment Tools
Machinist experiences: Use of Horizontal Borers, Vertical Borers, Lathes, Drills, CNC Lathe or Machining Center (Computer Numerical control).
Additional high risk licenses (highly regarded)
Previous mining and/or shutdown experience
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
Ability to pass a Psychometric test
Team player, conscientious worker with proven strong focus on safety and adherence to site rules/requirements.
