About the role..
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to become a key member of the Community Rehabilitation Service (CRS). You will be providing support to Allied Health clinicians to deliver therapy interventions. Intervention can occur:
- At the Clients own home or other community locations (e.g. gym, shopping centre) across the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).
- At the Northern Sydney Transitional Care Unit (NSTCU) located at Belrose.
- On site within the Public Outpatient Department at Royal Rehab’s Ryde campus. The includes providing support for aquatic physiotherapy within the hydrotherapy pool.
This role is responsible for the implementation of therapy interventions, under the direction of an Allied Health clinician, and within a client-focused and goal-centred framework.
About you..
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with clients with physical and/or cognitive disabilities within a rehabilitation framework.
- Current C unrestricted driver’s license, good driving record and own car (Staff may be required to travel to visits in their own vehicle. Mileage/ petrol costs can be claimed).
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge or experience of aquatic physiotherapy programs, including Hydrotherapy Rescue Award (or equivalent).
