Novita provides early intervention, rehabilitation, therapy, assistive technology and disability services to more than 6,000 people living with disability, as well as support for their families and carers. Our primary purpose is to enable kids, young people and adults living with disability and their families to participate in the community to their full potential.
About the Role
The Allied Health Assistant works with a multi-disciplinary team involved in a variety of activities and programs with individual clients and groups. Working across Novita’s Allied Health professions including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and psychology, the role assists with a broad range of interventions and support services to children and their families. We are seeking candidates to fill in for two positions (Full time and Casual) based at Elizabeth Therapy Hub.
The Allied Health Assistant will undertake the following activities:
- Undertake activities with clients, families or education staff in line with defined programs developed by an Allied Health Clinician
- Assist in the provision of therapy, group activities and programs by providing administrative support, intervention support, setting-up, packing-down and cleaning and tidying
- Maintain defined work areas, materials and equipment
- Prepare and make equipment and materials for use by clients and Allied Health Clinicians
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Cert IV - Allied Health Assistance
- Experience in working with children and young people with disabilities and developmental delay.
- Energetic, creative & flexible attitude
- Positive & solutions-focussed with a commitment to deliver high quality service.
- Availability to work across a flexible roster.
Essential Requirements
- Valid driving licence and willingness to use own vehicle for travel.
- NDIS worker screening, DHS Working with Children and Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Fully vaccinated from COVID-19 (three doses, Novita mandate).

Total remuneration package includes base salary, annual leave loading and statutory superannuation contribution. This position will also attract regional allowance. Enjoy salary packaging up to $15900 of your salary, increasing your take-home pay significantly.
