Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMHS), Research and Education are looking for an Allied HealthClinician and Research Development Advisor to join their team. Working out of the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba; this exciting research role is responsible for acting as a Research Development Advisor to support research conducted by the Mental and Physical Health research group at MSAMHS. This includes provision of clinical, problem-solving skills, expert planning, and co-ordination of research projects involving patients with complex care needs within a research framework.

About the Role
- Manage an allocated research workload in accordance with established clinical and departmental protocols, policies and procedures; utilising evidence-based practice and ethical standards, demonstrating a high level of independence, clinical judgement and complex decision making.
- Liaise and work effectively in a professional manner with participants and their carers and families, other health professionals, students and external agencies to achieve requirements of research project, utilising negotiation and conflict resolution skills as required.
- Continually develop clinical practice knowledge, skills and expertise through self-directed learning, active learning within a team environment and engaging in professional development activities, including participating in the performance appraisal and development plans.
- Work within, monitor and develop standards of care in the defined research/clinical trial protocol, standard operating procedures and practice guidelines for research/clinical trials, hospital policies and procedures to ensure safe and high-quality research completion.
