ALLIED HEALTH MANAGER - FULL-TIME
IWC has an exciting opportunity to work as a full-time Allied Health Manager in the Corporate and Allied Health departments.

IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation that delivers services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
As the Allied Health Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the operations of our Allied Health and corporate reception departments. You will be responsible for managing a diverse team of Allied Health professionals, including but not limited to physical therapists, speech therapists, exercise physiotherapist and psychologists. Your objective will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while optimizing efficiency and productivity.
DUTIES:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Allied Health services department, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Coordinate scheduling and workload distribution to maximize patient access and minimize wait times.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Allied Health practices, integrating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous Management or Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills, written communication, problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to meet targets and goals.
- High level of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Good listening, communication and influencing skills.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- A current driver's licence is essential or ability to obtain.
- A First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
- Complete COVID-19 Vaccination Status (as per IWC Policy)
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card QLD)* or ability to obtain.
- A Federal Police Check or ability to obtain.
* No Card, No Start legislation means that the successful applicant will need to hold a valid blue card before they start work. IWC will cover the cost of this application for the successful candidate.
SALARY PACKAGE:
Your Salary Package is made up of the following: -
- Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $4,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).
- Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,600 per annum (available after completion of probation).
- 9-Day Fortnight (for full-time staff).
- Superannuation valued at 11%.
- Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.
