Alrounder Chef needed

Full time Chef required for the "A Bite to Eat" restaurant at 8 Chiefley Pl, Chiefley ACT 2606

A Bite to Eat restaurant is currently seeking a qualified full-time chef to join our team in Chiefley ACT. We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, passionate and experienced in continental cuisine.

The job description for chef is as follows and it is not an exhaustive list: 

· Menu planning, estimating food and labour costs.

· Preparing and cooking menu items.

· Training and supervision of apprentices and less experienced staff.

· Adhering to, explaining and enforcing of hygiene regulations.

· Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

· Delegation of tasks to other team members.

· Supervise Cooks and assist as needed.

· Monitor food stock and place orders.

Requirements:

· Experience and qualifications in commercial cookery (Cert IV or higher)

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in the commercial kitchen

· Flexible availability

· Good communication skills

· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team

· Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements

· Experienced in continental cuisine.

Salary per year - $ 72,000-75,000 plus compulsory super
