Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop, and socialise in the river city.The Alterationist, reporting to the Wardrobe Manager, is responsible for the prompt and effective repair and alterations of garments, uniforms and other linens for The Star Team Members, Guests, and Hotel.A few of your responsibilitiesRepair of linens, uniforms, and other items as requiredItems correctly identified and returned to owner/guestUnderstand all Alterationist processes and operation of the necessary machinerySafely uses various pieces of equipment to perform tasksHelping with uniform counter when requiredCompliance with The Star Entertainment Group's Sustainability Strategy including waste minimisation, recycling activities, and reducing energy and water useWhat we will be looking forQualification or demonstrated experience in AlterationsTailoring qualifications highly regarded but not essentialAble to work quickly and efficientlyIntermediate numeracy and literacy skillsAbout YouWe are seeking a motivated and skilled individual with previous Alterations experience. As an Alterationist with The Star Brisbane, you will have the ability to work efficiently, while working in a prompt manner across our Wardrobe department. The ideal candidate will have a qualification or demonstrated experience in Alterations and Tailoring.An intermediate understanding of numeracy and literacy skills is needed as you will be tailoring our team members with uniforms.Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of the Wardrobe department at The Star Brisbane.
