Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Aluminium Fabricator/Welder located in the Bankstown area . The successful applicant will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminium products for a variety of applications in various sectors. The role requires the ability to read and interpret drawings, perform tasks accurately and efficiently, and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or trade certificate in welding or metal fabrication
• Proven experience in the fabrication and welding of aluminium products
• Experience with interpreting drawings and specifications
• Excellent knowledge of safety standards and procedures
• Demonstrated proficiency in the operation and maintenance of relevant equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Current driver's license and reliable transport

Experience

• Must have experience
• Competent in reading and interpreting complex drawings
• High level of attention to detail, and quality control
• Excellent time management, planning and problem solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work in a team-based environment.
• Competent in fabrication using MIG welding
• Checking fabricated items prior to and after welding
• Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products
• Ability to work independently
• Casual role, which can lead to a more permanent position
• Workshop based (Bankstown)
