Form of workGranite Engineering and Manufacturing, located in Mareeba Far North Queensland (one hour's drive from Cairns), manufactures custom made high quality trays and canopies for the 4WD market and bespoke project work. We manufacture a range of custom products in both stainless steel, structural steel and aluminium.
We are currently seeking a qualified Aluminium Fabricator / Sheet metal worker who is local to the area and looking for consistent full time work. This position offers family friendly regular hours to be home every day without working nights/weekend shifts or extended rosters away from home.
Applicants require the following:
- A recognised trade qualification in engineering (fabrication);
- A high level of TIG and Pulse MIG aluminium welding experience;
- Sheet metal folding experience
- It would be highly advantageous if you possess experience in fabricating using guillotines, folders, rolling machine and press breaks.
The successful applicant will be able to:
- Interpret detailed drawings and plan works accordingly;
- Produce work of a high standard in detail and accuracy;
- Follow instructions and source additional information as required;
- Work with minimal supervision;
- Show great teamwork and communication skills;
- Be committed to workplace health and safety; and
- have excellent time management skills.
Prior experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment would be preferred. No sponsorship is available for this vacancy
Current C Class Drivers Licence and Forklift is essential.
