This does not apply for staff with disability.Please note: A person who is not an Australian citizen or a permanent resident is only eligible for temporary employment for a period not longer than the duration of their current visa or a period not shorter than the duration of the advertised position.Essential CriteriaQualifications - Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or NursingRegistration - Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist or Occupational TherapistSelection Criteria * Current unrestricted registration (general registration only, excludes limited registration) with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrate evidence of clinical experience, as defined by the award definitions, delivering services in aged care settings and/or to aged persons (such as geriatric evaluation, rehabilitation, palliative care, community nursing), including to people living with dementia
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of services
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
  • An understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal social, cultural and economic issues; a capacity to flexibly develop local responses to community needs; and cross cultural communication skills
  • Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
