- Demonstrate evidence of clinical experience, as defined by the award definitions, delivering services in aged care settings and/or to aged persons (such as geriatric evaluation, rehabilitation, palliative care, community nursing), including to people living with dementia
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
- Demonstrated ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of services
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
- An understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal social, cultural and economic issues; a capacity to flexibly develop local responses to community needs; and cross cultural communication skills
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
