Chief Operations Office (COO) is responsible for servicing multiple brands within the Group internationally, delivering a highly flexible operations environment, outstanding customer experiences and better risk outcomes. This is achieved through end-to-end process management, use of innovative new technologies and a cross-skilled, capable workforce.

The Chief Controls Office (CCO) is a first line of defence function that provides comprehensive and integrated risk and control services in support of the COO. The value proposition of the CCO is to provide skilled, practical and efficient risk management to support the COO in the delivery of excellent business and customer outcomes.
The CCO function delivers effective business and customer outcomes through the following risk services:
- Implementation and adherence to the Operational and Compliance Risk Management Frameworks.
- Specialist advice, consultation and services to support the business in identifying, monitoring and managing its respective risks and controls.
- Build and embedment of strong risk capability and culture across the Chief Operating Office.
- Risk governance and reporting.
- Risk in Change assessment in support of project and transformation activities across the COO.
- Supplier risk assessment and governance.
- Controls assurance and continuous improvement through control automation.
- Conduct accurate and consistent reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our obligations are met
- Through building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the ECDD/TM, you will drive efficient, fair and consistent outcomes for our customers
- Continually drive sustainable enhancements to the risk and control environment in order to deliver better risk outcomes;
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to make recommendations, decisions and execute on them;
- Support CCO and ECDD/TM partners as a subject matter expert in compliance and risk
- Take ownership over remediation and risk tasks to deliver suitable outcomes
- Contribute to the protection of the Group from emerging issues by leveraging proprietary insights, effective feedback and developing strong relationships
- Support a culture of continuous improvement
- Actively contribute to creating an inclusive, energized and accountable team culture
- Inspires others to demonstrate CBA Group’s values and works together to create a passionate, high performing culture.
- Proven Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) & Transaction Monitoring (TM) experience is an advantage with an understanding of Operations Businesses
- Pro-active identification of breakpoints, process breaks and areas of improvement to mitigate risk
- Problem solving skills, with a strong continuous improvement mindset
- Positive and proactive stakeholder engagement skills
- Leading communication skills – Verbal and written
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to create pivot tables and simple charts
