Job description

- Make a genunine difference
- Opportunity for career development and growth
- Unique, full-time, continuing opportunity based in the Northern Rivers region

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Tyrone Carlin is seeking an adviser/analyst for his executive office. For the right person, this will be a great career opportunity, although on a road less travelled. Maybe this is you…
You may find yourself undertaking research, analysing data, preparing presentations, conducting site visits, engaging with stakeholders, designing documents, and driving initiatives – and many other things besides.
You are a clever, motivated, inquisitive, and energetic generalist – mostly likely in the early stages of your career. Integrity is your middle name. You are looking for an opportunity to genuinely make a difference – and to learn about complex systems in a complex business, from the direct vantage point of the CEO.
From a disciplinary perspective, your academic background doesn’t matter – so long as you can demonstrate strong intellect and acumen. A capacity for rigour, forensic analysis and high-level critical thought, demonstrated by, say, an honours degree or a previous role, would be particularly highly regarded.
This is a unique, full-time, continuing opportunity. If you want a start, you will commit to coming to live in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW, and be based at the Lismore campus, where the Vice Chancellor – with whom you will be working directly – is also based.
The salary will be commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience, plus you will receive 17% superannuation and have access to a range of staff benefits including flexible work arrangements, generous leave provisions and professional and wellbeing programs. Find out more about working at SCU by visiting Why Work at SCU.
Interested? Send your CV through to
edovc@scu.edu.au, or call Chris Ashton (Executive Director, Office of the Vice Chancellor) on 0475 935 943 for a chat.
Expressions of interest will close on Friday, 22 March 2024.
Southern Cross University is committed to diversity and social inclusion and aims to ensure equality in the recruitment of our staff. Applications are supported and encouraged by those that bring diversity to the University. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

Use the position description link below to access further information about the selection criteria for this role. You will need to submit complete responses to the selection criteria with your application, including providing examples where relevant. Please prepare these and submit each response when prompted in your online application submission.
