Your new role
JANA is seeking a developer with C#, ASP.NET, SQL, MS Synapse and Azure experience to support existing internal business applications (containerized applications) and work on the implementation and integration of new strategic platforms including a data management solution based on Microsoft’s data architecture. The role will include:
- Design, build, implementation and ongoing management of solutions
- Maintenance of in-house applications (.Net, SQL Server)
- AWS EC2, ECS and S3 services
- MS Synapse & Azure
- ETL processes
- User account management using Auth0 and AWS Cognito
- Minor additional IT responsibilities/troubleshooting
About you
This individual will have a strong grasp of data warehousing methodologies, architectures, normalisation and data integration.
Ideally, this individual will have the following skills:
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
- Previous experience as an analyst/programmer, developer, engineer or similar role in finance, investments or superannuation
- Knowledge of Azure fundamentals, security and compliance
- Expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries, performance tuning, understanding of physical and logical data models and database administration
- Proficiency in using Azure Synapse Studio to integrate, manage and analyse data effectively
- Skills in setting up and managing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory for ETL
- Proficiency in visualisation tools such as Power BI to create dashboards and reports
- Experience with C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Python, Docker, AWS (including ECS, EC2, S3), MS Synapse & Azure, Git and JIRA
- Experience working with existing (legacy) .Net n-tier applications codebases
