JBS Australia's Yambinya Feedlot is situated near Burraboi in Southern NSW. We are currently looking for a passionate Animal Health Supervisor to have the opportunity to further develop their, livestock handling and diagnosis and treatment skills as an important member of our Livestock Team.
Responsibilities:
- Daily livestock handling.
- Diagnosis of Animal Health symptoms.
- Administration of Animal Health treatments including accurate record keeping.
- Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia Policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, and Animal Welfare & Environmental Obligations.
- Training and mentoring of new and current staff.
- Weighbridge compliance.
- Maintaining spreadsheets to ensure that data is collected efficiently.
- Inventory management and checking.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports to senior management as required.
- Proven stock work experience.
- Qualifications in animal welfare, preferable.
- Communication, organizational & Interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to animal welfare, health and nutrition
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment
- Ability & willingness to learn new skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy in excel, word and outlook.
- Willingness to undertake various training courses as required.
- Preferable, although not mandatory - access to a minimum of two suitable horses and own tack/saddlery
- All horses must be vaccinated for Hendra virus prior to entry at all JBS sites. Proof of vaccination details will be required prior to offer/commencement of employment.
