AddressFlood Studio is a film and animation company that specializes in the Architectural but performs magic across the board. We are now interviewing for a Senior Animation Artist to lead amongst a creative and highly skilled team. The position demands creative prowess as well as technical ability and offers opportunities for advancement in a respectful working environment that recognizes and rewards talent, leadership and dedication. We want an animator that can add, inform, storyboard and create unexpected outcomes from a diverse set of filmic outcomes.

Flood Studio has lead the way and trained many of the industry heavyweights in Australia and around the world.
THE ROLE
- Depending on applicant, work a senior level on animation and film projects from interpretation of storyboards through to final perfected execution. Includes camera, object and environmental movement as well as creative animation responses to storyboard narratives. We want you to tell us what we haven’t thought of yet, and what our clients are yet to dream is possible.
- Animator within a team at this Award-winning firm - who deliver a wide array of high-end production services – Rendering, Photography, Animation, Film, Photographic Montage, Post Production, Planning packages, Film Production – which will offer scope for highly skilled 3D artists to advance careers and add variety and refinement to folios.
- Work and lead within the animation team to deliver a range of 3D animated objects, particle effects, cameras and lighting (speed and accuracy essential) and communicate and discuss all aspects within team and studio.
- Working from a range of analogue and digital reference material, operate high-end software (such as 3DSMax, VRAY, Adobe Photoshop, after effects) to produce premium marketing images, animations, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in fulfilling whole design and delivery of projects
- Excellent understanding of animation principals, moving compositions, graph editors and compositing.
- A good understanding of cloth simulations, force effects and particle systems is desirable in a max environment… Or you tell us what we should use!
- Advanced working knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering skills and professional level in 3D Studio Max, VRAY, Photoshop and after effects.
- Work with limited supervision, and adapt to existing working methodologies
- Clearly demonstrate and communicate your design approach through a portfolio of work
- Be comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines if needed.
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Architectural background is helpful but not compulsory, as is the ability to understand architectural drawings
- Good communication skills
