Title: Associate Nurse Unit Manager
Department: Subacute Ward
Classification: Nurses & Midwives EA, ANUM Year 1 to 2, YW11 – YW12
Hours per fortnight: Variable

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to take the next step in their career and join the management team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the NUM in providing an effective, high quality and financially efficient service
- Lead and support nursing staff providing clinical oversight
- Collaborative team approach within a multidisciplinary team
- Coordinate resources for each shift including staff allocation and work flow to achieve best possible outcomes for patients

- Well developed interpersonal skills

- A professional manner at all times
- Knowledge of discharge planning process
- Knowledge of National Standards and quality improvement process
This position requires people who are motivated and driven, and who have demonstrated skills and experience in leadership. The ANUM will also be allocated as Key Contact Person for patients within the ward, thus enhancing patient centred care and communication, and enabling effective and timely discharge planning.
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
