The Client
Formed in April 2009 this department manages Queensland's approximately 33,000 km state-controlled road network, which includes more than 6,500 bridges and major culverts and employs over 10,000 staff throughout Queensland.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will assist the Cairns Significant Projects communications team leader in providing communication advice and support to the District Director, managers and other district staff in the areas of media and issues management, risk assessment, community engagement and communication strategies using appropriate communication tools.
About You

• Experience in graphic design with strong Adobe is required for this role
• Experience in creating content for print and digital, having worked on a Communicaitons Team
• Looking for a leader who can make decisions
• Experience in government communications a plus
• Can write copy and provide writing samples to be reviewed
