Government agnecy looking for a Project Manager to assist with electrical capital works projects.
Your new company
Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add a Project Manager to their team to help with their various and ongoing capital works projects.
Your new role
You will be responsible for providing expertise in the areas of capital works, energy, and environmental sustainability in support of the department’s office and property portfolio. You will provide advise to asset/property managers and services providers on electric vehicle infrastructure and electrical services related issues using project management expertise. Additionally, you will create and develop capital works, energy and sustainability programs and strategies to benefit the performance of electrical services within the Department’s office and property portfolio.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of project management working with capital projects, ideally in the electrical, energy or environmental sustainability area. Therefore, you will have a relevant discipline in project management, electrical trades, or engineering, with an interest in electrical vehicle technology and/or environmentally sustainable buildings. You will be able to provide advice on these matters to a multi-disciplined project and property team, and be able to give advice on project strategy, budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Given this role includes regular project reporting, you will be proficient in Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 3 month contracted casual role within a government agency with the likelihood of extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying an A05 rate + super.
