As a key member of the Technical Advice Division, you will support best practice revenue management by providing technical advice, resolving complex issues, and delivering legislative training. This is an initial six-month fixed term contract, as a temporary employee of the Queensland Government.

The Opportunity:
This role involves supporting best practice revenue management by providing technical advice, resolving complex issues, and delivering legislative training.
Pay rate: AO5 (level 1) - $3,841.40 gross fortnightly salary. As a Queensland Government employee, you will be entitled to 12.75% super.
Fixed Term Contract: Six months - Immediate commencement
Location: Brisbane CBD office location
Hybrid Flexibility: Work from home is available up to two days per week, once training and onboarding are complete.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make recommendations and issue rulings relating to corporate reconstructions;
- Prepare public rulings and practice statements for legislation administered by the department;
- Assist in drafting private rulings under the Duties Act 2001;
- Provide advice on interpretation and practice issues related to relevant legislation; and
- Review and ensure compliance of internal and external artefacts with legislative requirements.
To be successful in this role, you need a solid understanding of legislative processes and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively. The role requires strong analytical skills and the capability to develop and implement policy.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation and case law;
- Understanding of commercial and administrative law and practice;
- Experience in developing and implementing policy and legislation;
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyse and communicate complex legal concepts; and
- Ability to work collaboratively and mentor team members as needed.
